The task for this week is very interesting. There's actually a Science of Happiness. Although slightly different, expressing gratitude (which I think could be done through asking a loved one to share a story) is one of the largest indicators of happiness. Often, those who express the gratitude gain more happiness (as measured by serotonin levels) than the one who is being shown gratitude. I think your experiment is similar and will have amazing benefits for all. If you're up for a quick video....you can check out the experiment in the Science of Happiness here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHv6vTKD6lg
On a different note, we asked my Dad to do a Storyworth book over the last year. 52 questions we picked and which he answered religiously every week. Now we have a book of his stories....some I didn't even know....to pass down....
This is incredible. Gratitude really is one of the most powerful drivers of happiness, and I love how you tied it to sharing stories. That video is a great reminder, thank you for sharing it. And the Storyworth book with your dad… what a gift. Those stories will outlive all of us. That’s the kind of legacy that actually matters.
Enjoyed the comments about your Mom. Oh, ya, I am your proud MOM. Every family has secret values that need to be uncovered. At the Thanksgiving table, well, that is an opportunity to unveil them
Memories become stories.
Stories become how your family knows who they are.
Presence is how we pass down values. Presence is how we show love. Presence is how we build a life we don’t look back on with regret.
And presence only happens when we understand how limited our time really is.
👏
You know I love this. Psalm 90:12. Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Absolutely. That verse says it perfectly. When we number our days, we start living the ones we have with intention and gratitude.
Well said
Love you😘
Aunt Lee - Thanks for continuing to read along. I appreciate you and your support!
this one resonated with me, big time! Nice work, Chris!
Appreciate that! Love hearing it connected with you.

Thanks Tim! I really appreciate the encouragement and you being here.
Great read ! “This season is not about accumulation. It is about awareness.” <- So real and profound!
Thank you. That line is a needed reminder for all of us this time of year.
